Yes, a valid boating license for sea/coastal navigation is required if you want to rent a boat without a skipper. If you don’t have a valid license or don’t feel comfortable cruising on your own, we can provide a skippering service for an additional charge of 15€ per hour.
We are located in Marina Valalta, and our boats are right in front of our office—this is also the meeting point. If you are staying at Campsite Val Saline, we can deliver the boat to the Val Saline pier.
Any type of schedule adjustment is possible during the low season (up to May 30 and from September 15 onward). However, during the high season (June 1–September 14), it’s usually not possible.
Please note that a half-day rental (4 hours) is the minimum rental period, and you will be charged for it even if you do not use the entire time.
All of our boats are fully covered by comprehensive insurance, so there’s no need for additional coverage. This insurance includes damage to our boat or another boat, as well as any injuries resulting from an accident.
If you cause damage to our boat by your own fault, you may be charged up to a maximum of 1,000€ (for further details, please see the question below).
By signing the contract, you agree that if you cause damage through your own fault, you may be charged up to a maximum of 1,000€.
For example, if you cause 50€ worth of damage, you will be charged 50€. If the damage is 8,000€, you will only be charged the maximum of 1,000€.
You don’t have to reserve a boat in advance, but it’s strongly recommended—especially during high season. If you don’t reserve in high season, there’s a strong chance the boat won’t be available on your preferred day.
To make a reservation, we need three things:
A photo of your boat driving license
Your cell phone number
A €100 deposit for smaller boats or €200 for Sea Rays
You can either visit our office at Marina Valalta or contact us to arrange payment via bank transfer.
Please note: We cannot hold a reservation or guarantee the boat without these three items.
Yes, you can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the start of your rental for any reason and get a full refund—no questions asked.
If you cancel after that, you must have a valid reason and provide proof. Acceptable reasons include canceled transportation (flights, trains, buses, etc.), illness, or force majeure.
When you rent a boat, we assume you have at least some boating experience. After all, you wouldn’t rent a car or a bicycle if you didn’t know how to drive (or ride) it, would you? A boat is no different.
SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY (and it should be yours, too).
That said, we provide a brief skipper training session before your rental. We start in the boat, explaining the docking process and then demonstrating how to do it. Next, it’s your turn— you’ll have six attempts to dock the boat. Perfection isn’t required, but we need to see that you won’t be a danger to yourself, others, or the boat. Even if you make a mistake, as long as you go slowly and stay calm, everything should be fine.
If we determine that you are not capable of safely operating the boat, we will unfortunately have to refuse the rental. In that case, you will lose your advance payment of €100 or €200. For reference, our long-term average is about 2% of clients, meaning we refuse to rent a boat about once every 50 rentals.
Fuel is NOT included in the rental price. Consumption can range from as little as 5 liters to over 150 liters, depending on the boat, number of passengers, speed, and trip duration.
You must have a valid boat driving license, an ID or passport, and a mobile phone. We also recommend bringing towels, swimsuits, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
While you’ll receive an icebox with cold drinks, it’s still a good idea to bring extra water. During the off-season, when evenings can get cooler, we suggest packing a long-sleeve shirt or a jacket as well.
